This stunning dress by Hattie Carnegie bears the Blue Room label and dates to the late 1950s or very early 60s. The Blue Room was open only from Thanksgiving to Christmas and catered to gentlemen who came to do holiday shopping for the ladies in their lives.
- Dress is fashioned from golden yellow silk jacquard with an ornate pattern in the weave.
- Fitted bodice has a deep scoop neckline that drops even lower in the back.
- 2" wide waistband insert.
- Ingenious skirt looks full from the front and fitted from the back. This is accomplished with the use of soft unpressed pleats at the center front and sides.
- Dress closes at the back with a metal zipper.
- Lined in matching golden taffeta.
