Vintage 80s CHARLES GALLAY Silk Jacket Hand Painted Small bust 36
Charles Gallay was the owner of one of the most exclusive designer boutiques in Beverly Hills. He and his wife were among the first to carry such designers as Jean Muir, Krizia, and Sonia Rykiel before they became famous. This jacket dates to the late 1980s or early 90s and would look exquisite over a solid black dress or pants and camisole.
- Jacket is fashioned of silk that is hand painted in a floral design in brilliant red, yellow, blue and aqua on black.
- Floral pattern is outline quilted in black thread and then accented with gold metallic paint.
- Raglan sleeves have no shoulder pads.
- Button tab under the collar is the only closure.
- Lightly padded and lined in black silk.
- Made in France for Charles Gallay.

CONDITION: Very Good – Jacket has not been dry cleaned due to concerns about the gold paint by my dry cleaner. However, it is clean and wearable as is. Some of the gold paint has dulled with age, but this is not noticeable. There is one small spot at the left front right below the collar point.
