Quintessential Chanel, but in an unexpected bright pop of yellow! This authentic Chanel Boutique suit from Spring 1997 is fashioned of a cotton/wool blend boucle in sunny lemon yellow with slubs of white in the weave. The fitted jacket is accented with braid at the edges that is a blend of the yellow wool and a white loopy raffia type material. The jacket is fitted with long vertical darts and seams. It closes at the front with mother-of-pearl and goldtone buttons with the double C logo. The buttons are stamped Chanel on the back. There are shoulder pads. There is no chain at the hem of this jacket. The skirt is short, nearly a mini. It has a faced upper edge – no waistband – and closes with a center back nylon zipper. Both pieces are fully lined in bright yellow silk.
