Vintage 30s 40s Pre-Eagle Taxco Sterling Turquoise Necklace Bracelet Earrings

Default Title
$450.00

This gorgeous Taxco, Mexico set dates to the 1930s or 40s.  The set consists of a necklace, bracelet and screw-back earrings.  The bracelet can also be used as an extension piece to make the necklace longer.  The necklace and bracelet both bear the hallmark TM surrounded by Taxco Mexico and 956.  This hallmark is listed on page 78 of Billie Hougart's "Little Book of Silver Trade and Hallmarks", although the designer has not been identified.  The 956 denotes that the silver used in this set is 956 parts per 1000 which is higher than sterling, which has 925 parts per 1000.  This means the silver will not require as much polishing as sterling.  The pieces are set with green turquoise mosaic and the large 3-dimensional mask carving in the center of the necklace looks to be either turquoise or onyx.  The necklace measures 15" end to end and the center medallion measures 2 1/2" x 2".  The bracelet/extension piece measures 6 3/4" end to end.  The earrings measure 1 1/8" x 5/8".  All the pieces of this set are in excellent condition with no missing stone.  They retain their original patina and the silver has not bee polished.

SHIPPING:  Shipping for this set is $11.00 US and $21.00 International.
