I don’t often see wonderful vintage suits in larger sizes, so I recommend that you grab this if it fits you! This vintage late 1940’s or possibly early 50’s suit by Continental for Hess Brothers is fashioned of a wool tweed woven with light blue and black yarns. From far away the color reads as a grey-blue. The jacket closes with self-fabric halo buttons and bound buttonholes. The pockets are accented with curved flaps. The long sleeves have fold-back cuffs. The jacket is completely lined in grey rayon crepe. The A-line skirt has a set-on waistband and side metal zipper. It is unlined.

CONDITION: Very Good – There is a brown spot at the back hem of the skirt. There are two very faint spots on the skirt front about midway between waist and hem. The spots faded significantly with dry cleaning, and my cleaner feels they will continue to fade with each subsequent cleaning.
