There’s nothing like a 1940s suit for great tailoring and fantastic details. This one is fashioned of wool gabardine in a windowcheck plaid in gray with white and red. The jacket is fitted through the waist 8 long vertical darts and has diagonal flap pockets at the hips. It closes at the front with gray plastic buttons and bound buttonholes. The jacket is completely lined in bright red rayon crepe. The skirt has a set-on waistband and side metal zipper. It is unlined. This suit has an added bonus of a matching shawl that can be worn over the jacket or over a blouse or sweater with the skirt. The shawl is lined in red rayon crepe and is fringed with red yarn. It measures 80" long x 16" wide at the center back.
