How many times have I found a fabulous vintage 1940s suit in a larger size? Maybe 2 in the last 10 years, and the last one was about 5 years ago. Believe me when I tell you, a great suit like this is nearly impossible to find in this size range!

This 1940s suit was sold by Boston clothing store Slattery’s and is fashioned of navy blue Forstmann wool gabardine. The jacket is accented with swirls of self fabric bands at the front yoke and arrow shaped embroidery at the yoke and pockets. The jacket closes with plastic buttons and bound buttonholes and is lined in navy rayon crepe. The skirt has a slight A-line shape, set on waistband, and side metal zipper. It is unlined. There is a 3" slit at the center front hem. Note: Suit has been clipped to the mannequin to approximate actual fit.  Original price – $275.00. All sale items are Final Sale with no returns accepted.
