This vintage 1940s skirt suit is fashioned from pumpkin colored wool gabardine. The jacket closes with the most wonderful disk-shaped buttons that stand up and away from the bound buttonholes. The same buttons accent the panels at the front and back. The waist has tiny tucks that are hidden beneath the self-fabric belt. There is an inverted pleat at the center back. The A-line skirt has a set-on waistband and side metal zipper. There is plenty of extra waistband to let the waist out if needed. The jacket is completely lined in matching rayon crepe and has cotton-filled shoulder pads. The skirt is unlined. Note: The color is closest to the detail photos.  Original price – $145.00. CONDITION: Good – There are tiny moth nips in both sleeves – 3 in the left and 2 in the right with the worst being at the right cuff. There are 3 more in the skirt back – 2 near the hem and 1 about 10" up from the hem. Much of the dark brown paint is worn off the buttons. Sold “As Is” with no returns accepted.
