Anne Fogarty was one of the all time best American designers. She was a wizard with full skirted dresses in the 1950s and this is one of hers. Fashioned of a tweedy wool stripe in purple, black, pink, and turquoise, the fabric is cut so the stripes become a design element. The turquoise stripes have a loopy, fuzzy texture. The stripes are cut vertically on the bodice and on panels down the center front and back of the skirt. The rest of the skirt has the stripes running diagonally. The dress closes at the back with a metal zipper and is unlined. There are in-seam pockets at the sides just below the waist. Note: We’ve shown this dress over a full crinoline which is not included.

CONDITION: Excellent – There are two tiny moth nips in the skirt, but these are not at all noticeable in the tweedy wool. I only found them by holding the fabric up to the light. If there was a belt, it is now missing, but there are no belt loops.
SHIPPING: Shipping cost for this dress is $11.00 in the US and $21.00 international.
