Not quite yellow, not quite beige, I’d call the color of this silk shantung “fresh homemade butter”. The richness of homemade butter comes across in this vintage 1950s dress custom made by Bergdorf Goodman and bearing their Miss Bergdorf label. This is a simple sheath accented with a faux cross-over front that is decorated with mother-of-pearl buttons and bound buttonholes. There are patch pockets at the hips. The dress closes with a center back metal zipper and is completely lined in silk organza.
