Not only is this vintage 1950s set by Rosecrest gorgeous, it’s versatile too! This is a top and skirt that looks like a dress when worn together, but can also be worn separately to mix and match with other items in your wardrobe. Fashioned of sheer black chiffon layered over black taffeta, the sleeveless top has pleated bands that are attached at the shoulders then wrapped and twisted over the bust. The top has a side metal zipper. The matching skirt is fashioned of the same sheer chiffon that is knife pleated over a flat taffeta lining. While the outer pleated layer is fuller than the lining, you can still wear this over a crinoline as we’ve shown here. The skirt has a set-on waistband and side metal zipper.
