At first glance, I thought this vintage 1950s dress had been shortened, but no – it’s the original factory hem. My guess is this was styled for a shorter figure. Fashioned of a medium blue taffeta that has been embroidered with a leaf pattern, the upper bodice front is decorated with rhinestones and pearls. There are tucks under the bust at the empire seam line and large pockets at the hips. The dress closes with a center back metal zipper and is unlined. Note: We’ve shown this dress over a full crinoline that is not included. The color blue is a bit more gray than it appears in the photos.
