I can honestly say I've never seen another purse quite like this 1950s La France beauty.  Fashioned of black wool felt, this purse is decorated with two beaded poodles, one black and one white!  The dogs are decorated with gold rhinestones and 3 dimensional leaves.  Little gold roses make their noses and glass cabochons form the eyes. A red butterfly applique also decorates the front of this bag.  The frame is black vinyl and there is a gold-tone snap lock at the top.  Little gold feet are found at the bottom and the purse is lined in bright red wool felt.  Measures 14" wide x 10" high x 2 1/2" deep at the bottom.  Excellent condition.  There may have been a second butterfly near the first at one time as there is a small stiff area below it which may be glue.  This does not detract.
