These vintage dress and coat sets from the 1950s and early 60s are so versatile. One has to wonder why no one makes them anymore. This late 1950s or very early 60s set by Lilli Diamond is fashioned of linen in cream and a mustard yellow. The dress has a blouson bodice and set-on waistband. The vertical mustard stripe is a separate band of fabric that is set into the front of the dress. It is accented with a bow at the waist. The dress closes with a center back nylon zipper and is completely lined in cotton muslin – a life saver in hot weather! The matching coat is solid mustard and has a straight cut with 3/4 raglan sleeves. It closes at the front with large self-fabric buttons and bound buttonholes and there are patch pockets at the hips. The coat is lined in mustard taffeta.
