This dress took my breath away when I first saw it, and I had to bring it to you. Isn’t that feather hem fabulous? This stunning evening gown is by Bill Blass and dates to the early 1960’s, before he bought the Maurice Rentner business and changed the label to his own. The gown is fashioned from cotton velveteen in a luscious mix of turquoise, apricot, lilac, and white. The ostrich feather hem is dyed to match with touches of all four colors. Two deep pleats drop from the empire waist at each side of the front. Those pleats hide pockets at the hips. The dress closes with a center back nylon zipper. The bodice is lined in turquoise silky rayon and the skirt is lined in cotton batiste. Original price – $475.00. All sale items are Final Sale with no returns accepted.
