These vintage cocktail dress and coat sets don’t stay around here for very long. This one, by Mardi Gras, dates to the early 1960’s and is fashioned of a luxurious paisley satin jacquard in gold and aqua. The cocktail dress is a basic princess-seamed sheath with an unusual point at the center front neckline. The dress closes at the back with a metal zipper and is lined in cotton batiste. The swing coat is meant to be loose fitting. It has pockets at the hips and full 3/4 sleeves that are gathered into cuffs. The coat closes with two snaps hidden behind a large rhinestone button at the front neckline. It is lined in blue taffeta. Original price – $245.00.
