If you’re bored with basic black for evening, how about a change of pace with this gorgeous chocolate brown? This vintage early 1960s cocktail dress is fashioned of brown rayon crepe. The bodice has a separate beaded overlay in the front that floats over an inner bodice of brown silk organza layered over the brown taffeta lining. The overlay is decorated with gold beads and sequins. The dress closes at the back with a metal zipper and the overlay has self-fabric buttons that close over the zipper. Completely lined in brown taffeta.

CONDITION: Very Good – Dress is freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. There are thread belt loops, but no belt. The beaded design is uneven and it appears that some of the swirling bugle beads are missing from the lower left of the bodice overlay, but I see no evidence of needle marks or thread to indicate that there were beads here. Price reflects condition.
