SOLD - Vintage 60s Dress YOUTHQUAKE Silver Mini Small bust 36
The Youthquake label was started in the US 1965 by the Puritan dress company in response to the British Boutique movement that was proving to be so popular in Europe. Puritan hired British designers like Mary Quant and Betsey Johnson to design for the label and their Paraphernalia stores that served the desire for Mod fashion by young women here in the US. This Youthquake dress is new, old stock and still has the original label attached. I can just see a girl coming home so excited with her purchase of this dress at Paraphernalia and her mom or dad telling her there was no way she was going to wear it out in public. Thus the dress was stashed in the back of her closet and here it is for you nearly 50 years later! Well, maybe that's what happened......
