Silk chiffon is so ethereal, so elegant, so luxurious. This vintage early 1960s evening gown was originally sold by specialty shop Jackson Graves in Minnesota. It is fashioned from vibrant emerald green silk chiffon layered over matching rayon crepe. The bodice front is cut on the bias to give the draped cowl effect to the neckline. The neckline of the dress sits wide on the shoulders, almost at the top of the beaded sleeves. But the best part is the attached floating train that falls from the back waist and billows out 5" longer than the dress. The fitted skirt has slight gathers at the sides for a bit of ease over the hips. The dress closes with a center back metal zipper.

CONDITION: Very Good – Dress is freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. There is a tiny pinhead sized black spot at the front right hip. There are some faint water rings at the front right hem. These are from my steamer, which dripped as I was steaming out a wrinkle in the fabric after the dress was cleaned. They will come out the next time the dress is cleaned.
