The work of James Galanos is as close to true haute couture as you can get in a ready-to-wear garment. Each piece is hand finished with the finest of details and intricate construction. This vintage 60s dress was made by Galanos exclusively for the Nan Duskin boutique in Philadelphia. Nan Duskin was a huge fan of Galanos' work and was one of his most ardent supporters. She knew what her clients wanted and only carried the best of the best. This dress is a basic sheath style fashioned of a nubby charcoal gray wool. Perfect as a background for your favorite jewelry, scarves, belts, sweaters, or jackets, this dress will serve you well for years and years to come. The dress closes with a center back hand-stitched nylon zipper and is completely lined in black silk.
