SOLD Vintage 60s JACQUES TIFFEAU Pink Plaid Dress and Jacket Small bust 36
Jacques Tiffeau was known for doing things a bit differently, and the wild pink and red plaid wool of this suit says it all. Tiffeau was America's first "celebrity designer". Tiffeau was the first American designer to embrace the mini length, a full 2 years before most othere designers. This dress was originally mini length, but was let down by the original owner. The dress and jacket set dates to the mid 1960s. The dress bodice is fashioned of pale pink wool jersey knit and has cut-away shoulders. It is a faux wrap style that closes at the front with 3 hidden hooks and eyes, 1 at the surplice neckline and 2 at the waist. The skirt portion has a deep pleat to complete the wrap styling. Comes with the original wide pink patent leather belt! The dress is completely lined in cotton batiste. The matching waist-length jacket closes at the front with pink buttons and bound buttonholes. It is lined in pink silky rayon. Tiffeau pieces are rare, so don't miss your opportunity to own a garment by this very talented designer.

CONDITION: Very Good – Comes to you dry cleaned
and ready to wear. There are four tiny faint spots on the dress front bodice
that did not come out completely with cleaning. They do not show when the jacket is worn, and could easily be
covered with a scarf. The dress hem has been let down as far as it will
go, but is professionally finished with bias binding.
