Jean Allen was a London fashion company that specialized in dresses and outfits for the hip, young crowd. This late 1960s dress has a black bodice that is woven with purple, silver, black, and bronze threads in a bargello pattern. The full butterfly sleeves and pleated skirt are fashioned of purple sheer purple silk georgette. The sleeves remain sheer, while the body of the dress is lined in purple taffeta. The dress closes with a center back metal zipper.
