It is so rare that I am able to pinpoint a date on a garment for you, but I can assure you that this dress by Jeanne Lanvin dates to the spring of 1967.  As you can see, the same design was featured in a French fashion magazine in April of that year.  The version offered here is made in hot pink and has 3/4 sleeves, but the lines of the dress are exactly the same.  This dress is a Jeanne Lanvin couture design that was copied with authorization by the Maria Carine workshop in Paris.  The dress was originally sold by the exclusive Sara Fredericks boutique.  Fashioned of wool crepe, the front, sleeves, and neckline of the dress are adorned with bands of silver lamé that are edged in crystal rhinestones.  A fine metal Eclair zipper is hidden behind the silver lamé at the front.  There are short slits at the side seam hems.  The front edges of the slits are curved and the back are straight.  There are flange-like tucks at the shoulders.  The dress is completely lined in hot pink silk.  Original price – $575.00.
