I guarantee no one else you know will have this same coat. Dating to 1969, this coat by Raincheetahs is fashioned of cotton velveteen. This is NOT a raincoat! The wild print is worked in black, browns, and tan, then the entire coat is quilted with a black satin stitch grid. There is a double row of big domed buttons at the front, but these are decorative, as the coat closes with hidden snaps behind the buttons. There is a half belt at the back. The coat is lined in black taffeta. There are slit pockets at the hips. Advertisement shown is for the exact coat with matching dress in pink. The ad appears in the August 1, 1969 issue of Vogue magazine. It is extremely rare to find an ad that precisely dates a vintage garment. I will include a scan of the ad for the lucky buyer of this coat. Original price – $275.00. All sale items are Final Sale with no returns accepted.
