Aren’t these candy color stripes pretty? This vintage early 1960s evening gown by Sam Friedlander was sold by Saks Fifth Avenue. French couturier Bob Bugnand was the designer for Friedlander starting in 1962. This strapless dress has a bodice of ruched silk chiffon in pink and lilac separated by a pale green silk band. The skirt is fashioned of silk taffeta in horizontal stripes of lilac, pink, aqua, and green. The skirt has gathers at the waist and then it narrows at the hem. The dress closes with a center back metal zipper and the bodice is boned for support. The bodice is lined in pink taffeta and the skirt is lined in white cotton batiste. Note: This dress is too small for our mannequin and the zipper would not close. The zipper works just fine. Original price – $165.00. All sale items are Final Sale with no returns accepted.
