Shannon Rodgers and Jerry Silverman established their label in 1959 after working together at Martini.  They produced high quality garments and were known for their Americanized versions of couture and they were especially fond of the work of Balenciaga.  This maxi dress dates to the late 1960s.

  • Dress is fashioned of cotton pique with a substantial weight and pronounced weave.
  • Pop art print is worked in brown, black and white.
  • The curves of the print are set off by the angular and asymmetric lines of the white grosgrain ribbon that decorates the bodice.
  • White grosgrain ribbon encircles the high waist and comes to a bow at the front.
  • Note how perfectly the print is matched at the center back seam!
  • The shoulder straps in the back are a little over 2" wide and are edged with the white ribbon on both sides.
  • Dress closes at the back with a metal zipper.
  • Completely lined in white silky rayon.
