Vintage 70s DESIGN THAI Orange Silk Evening Opera Coat Medium bust 40 $175.00
This evening coat is so stunning, it takes my breath away! This coat, by Design Thai, dates to the 1970s and probably originally came with a co-ordinating dress. It is fashioned of vibrant orange silk dupioni that has been machine quilted in a floral pattern to a cotton interlining. The shape of the coat is evocative of Asian styles with it's stand away collar. The coat closes by wrapping and ties at the inside. There are two hidden buttons and loops at the opposite opening edge, as well as one hook at the waist. The coat is completely lined in orange silk.

CONDITION: Very Good – Coat is freshly dry
cleaned and ready to wear. There is slight wear to the silk at the sides of the collar edges, the sleeve hems, and the hem of the coat itself. There is soiling at the inner sleeve cuffs that did not respond to cleaning. Tears in the sleeve linings have been professionally repaired by hand.
