<p>Ethereal silk chiffon in an oversize print of lilies immediately identifies this dress as Hanae Mori. This vintage late 1970s evening gown bears the Hanae Mori couture label and was sold by Bergdorf Goodman. The colors are white, grey, and purple on a pale apricot ground. The bodice has a slight blouson shape with an elastic waist. It is semi-sheer with a lining of solid apricot silk chiffon, so you’ll want to wear a camisole. The long full sleeves have elastic that forms ruffle cuffs. The skirt falls straight from the hips and is lined in solid apricot silky rayon. The dress closes with a nylon zipper at the back from waist to hips and with hooks and eyes from neckline to waist. Included is a matching 62″ × 11″ scarf, which we’ve shown as a sash belt, but which can also be worn at the neck. This couture dress is completely finished by hand. All of the inner seams are overcast by hand, the zipper is set in by hand, and the edges of the silk chiffon are rolled by hand. The hooks and eyes are covered with thread and the snaps are covered with silk.</p>
