This vintage 1970s coat says at a glance that the wearer is chic and sophisticated. Perfect to wear over a slinky knit dress and sleek black leather boots.  The coat is fashioned of black and white wool tweed and has very architectural lines.  The collar is of genuine black fur that I believe is unsheared beaver.  It is incredibly soft, thick, and luxurious.  There are big patch pockets at the hips that wrap from the front around the sides.  The pockets have vertical top-stitched tucks and button flaps.  The back of the coat features the same top-stitched tucks at the bodice that open into deep inverted pleats in the skirt.  There is a buttoned half belt at the back.  The coat closes at the front with a double row of black plastic buttons and stitched buttonholes.  It is completely lined in black taffeta.

CONDITION: Excellent – Coat has not been cleaned due to fur trim, but is in fine shape and can be worn right away.  We recommend removing the fur collar before cleaning. The fur is soft and supple with no shedding or dryness.
