Arnold Scaasi was a designer who liked a lot of sparkle and flash and this 1980s cocktail dress sure shows it! Fashioned of a mix of two contrasting silk and metallic jacquards, this dress is sure to get noticed! The bodice is fashioned of a silk plaid with metallic paisley woven into it. The skirt is fashioned of silk chiffon plaid with big metallic dots woven into it. The bodice has 3/4 length sleeves that sit off the shoulders. The two tier skirt is fully gathered onto a dropped waist and each tier is backed with maroon organza for added body. The bodice is completely boned for support and the dress closes with a center back nylon zipper. The bodice is lined in hot pink China Silk. CONDITION: Good – This dress is perfect except that someone cut out the skirt lining. The only reason I can think that someone would do this is if the lining was fitted to the body and was too small. As the skirt tiers are fashioned of two sheer fabrics, you’ll either want to wear a slip or replace the lining. Otherwise, the dress is completely wearable as is and is in perfect condition. Sold “As Is” with no returns accepted. Price reflects condition.
