Julie Duroché was the head designer for After Five evening wear in the 1980’s. In 1988 and ‘89, Duroché was hired to design evening gowns for production numbers in the Miss America pageant. Her dresses were sold by Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman and were priced at $500 and up back in the 80’s.

This dazzling party dress is fashioned of black lace layered over black taffeta lining. The lace is then adorned with black sequins and rows of black beaded fringe at the neckline and hips. Fitted to the body, the bodice is completely boned for support. The dress closes at the back with a nylon zipper.
