This set dates to about 1984, when designer Pauline Trigere was using cartridge pleats across the shoulders to add volume to her sleeves. The top with matching skirt are fashioned from forest green silk tissue taffeta that has wonderful body without being too heavy or stiff. The top has those pleats across the shoulders and the elbow length sleeves are very full. The top buttons up the back with rhinestone buttons and bound buttonholes. The skirt has a set-on waistband and falls gracefully from unpressed pleats at the waist. The top is lined in black silk chiffon. The skirt is unlined.
