Breathtaking, isn't it?  This incredible vintage 1980sevening gown by Victor Costa was originally sold by Saks Fifth Avenue. Fashioned of black Duchesse satin that is quite substantial but with a subtle sheen, the strapless bodice has a series of curving tucks from the center bust to the sides of the hips.  The gown falls straight from the hips in the front.  The back is accented with a huge stylized bow below the hip and there is a wide godet at the hem that gives the effect of a train.  The godet is supported with two layers of stiff ruffled netting.  The dress is completely lined in silky polyester and closes at the back with a nylon zipper.  The bodice is fully boned for support.

CONDITION: Excellent – Dress is freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.  There are a couple of tiny picks in the satin at the front bust. It looks like someone pinned a brooch here.  Hardly noticeable and does not detract.
