Unique and unusual jacket by Mariana Zaharoff, was made in Greece, probably in the early 1980’s. This art-to-wear jacket is fashioned from strips of silk chiffon in multiple colors that have been woven on a loom with gold metallic cross threads. The ends of the chiffon lengths are left loose and are interspersed throughout the body of the jacket. The sleeves are woven in such a way that the loose ends of the silk look like fringe. The jacket closes at the front with silk buttons and loops and is completely lined in white taffeta.
