Kathryn Dianos got her start in fashion at Bill Blass and formed her own eveningwear company in 1985. Her designs were worn by many celebrities and were carried at high end department and specialty stores. This dress was sold by Holt Renfrew and dates to the early 1990s and has a trompe l’oiel tuxedo style. Black braid and buttons give the appearance of a tuxedo jacket, while creamy white faille inserts look like a vest peeking out. The dress has a center back invisible zipper and thick shoulder pads. It is lined in black silky polyester.
