La Perla, maker of the finest lingerie in the world, also does a line of swimwear. I can’t find a lot of information about the La Perla Sport label, but it seems to have been short-lived in the late 1990s. This La Perla Sport dress was probably sold with a co-ordinating swimsuit and can be worn as a beach cover-up or a sundress. Fashioned of linen with an abstract pattern in magenta pink and black on white, the dress has shoulder straps that cross over each other in the front below the neckline, then continue down and around the waist and tie on the right side. The dress buttons up the back and is completely lined in white silk organza for added body. The straps are edged in black bias binding and are curved to follow the natural line of the waist. Beautifully made, as you would expect from a fine designer garment.
