Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto is best known for his avant-garde, unstructured garments.  This vintage 1990s Yamamoto dress is just that.  Fashioned of fluid black jersey, this dress is meant to be worn layered over another piece, perhaps a bodysuit, a white blouse, or a long t-shirt.  The dress slips on over the head and closes at the front with a single hook and eye at the bustline.  The fabric of the opening extends out in a triangle on each side and these tie into a knot.  The knot then forms gorgeous draping in the skirt. You can tie the two sides together as tightly or as loosely as you like.  The drape of the hem will change as you change the knot. The sleeves are cut-in-one with the body of the dress and are extra long, just as Yamamoto usually does.  There are patch pockets at the sides near the hem.  Unlined.  Marked a size Medium and meant to be loose fitting.  Original price – $375.00.
