Take a basic dress and make it from siren red satin for instant glamour. That is the genius that was Yves St. Laurent. This vintage 1990s mini dress from St. Laurent’s Rive Gauche line is fashioned of a luxe ruby red satin that is an unusual blend of wool and acetate. The wool gives the fabric a fluid draping quality, while the acetate gives a rich shimmer. The bodice has a blouson cut with a surplice neckline. The skirt has unpressed inverted pleats and hidden inseam pockets at the hips. The long sleeves are slightly gathered into the armholes and have short nylon zippers at the wrist. The dress closes with a side nylon zipper and the skirt is lined in taffeta. Please note: The waist does NOT stretch. Labeled European size 36.

CONDITION: Excellent – There is a scratch in the satin at the front neckline. It looks like the original owner wore a brooch here to keep the neckline closed. There are thread belt loops, but the original belt is missing.
